Sample announcement for a church newsletter

Sunday, November 2 is Invite a Friend Sunday at St. Swithin’s Church. The format for this particular Sunday will be somewhat different from normal. We'll have one traditional worship service that morning. Sunday school will be available for all ages as well.

A catered brunch will follow the service. You are encouraged to come to the brunch and to participate in the fellowship — whether or not you have guests.

In the book of John, we hear Jesus telling his disciples, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.”

Christ has chosen us and desires for us to go out and love one another in his name.
